Le Domaine entame sa troisième semaine de vendanges. Côté vignes : Cette année, la saison des vendanges a démarré earlier than expected, et ce en parti à cause des conditions climatiques. Les fortes chaleurs que les vignes ont subies cette année ont amené à une earlier harvest, with smaller, more concentrated berries.
However, according to our oenologist, this year will be of high quality and we are full of hope for this vintage 2022.
On the cellar side: The harvest started on 11 August for white grapes and ended on 31 August; the rosé immediately began to be harvested and will soon be finished. The white has completed its fermentation phase, and now it’s the rosé's turn. The grape varieties are vinified in stainless steel tanks, and only certain white grape varieties like Sauvignon Blanc are vinified in barrels. For the red, it's time to start the harvest. Grenache and Syrah were harvested at the end of August, and now it's the turn of the other grape varieties to come into our hands. A winemaking method that is still artisanal with handpicking, taking place in concrete tanks this time.
