I was living in Italy and was put in touch with the Planeta family, owners of estates in Sicily, with whom we joined forces to acquire land in Sambuca di Sicilia. Then we also bought Le Piton de Sancerre in Sancerre, in association with winemaker Pascal Jolivet. " She and her father have no shortage of appetite. "We were also keen to acquire an estate in the southern hemisphere. But acquisitions in Argentina and New Zealand proved difficult or risky. We finally found 230 ha in South Africa, in the form of three different vineyards, each with its own specificities. Le Chant is a gateway to South African wines, Pink Valley produces our rosé and Taaibosch is more classic." "
