Nestled in the heart of the Massif des Alpilles, Domaine ODDO Vallon des Glauges stretches across a majestic, untamed landscape. It's a magical place, linking Eyguières to Les Baux-de-Provence and stretching from the foot of Mont Menu to the Tour des Opies. Between modernity and authenticity, this exceptional haven of peace draws all its aromatic richness from nature to create balanced wines and olive oils.

Our history

The Oddo family

The Oddo family founded the international Oddo Vins & Domaines Group. The family philosophy is based on a simple principle: select the best terroirs and partners in renowned appellations.

The Domaine du Vallon des Glauges is the family's founding project. Originally from the region and seduced by the breathtaking beauty of the Alpilles regional park, the Oddo family quickly saw the immense potential of the site. 

After replanting more than 20 hectares of vines, then completely reorganizing the cellar, the offices, the tasting room and the overall architecture, the Oddo family devoted itself to the development of wine tourism and the promotion of its know-how.

Concerned about preserving this exceptional land while providing the best possible development, the Domaine du Vallon des Glauges has been practicing sustainable viticulture since the beginning. 

Since 2020, the Domaine has begun its conversion to organic farming with a real commitment to the terroir, which will be completed in 2023.

Biodiversity is at the heart of the Domaine, both in the work of the soil and in the wine-making in the wine making process: sheep come to graze in the domain to promote the development the development of micro-organisms and natural fertilizers necessary for the good development of the vine.

Beehives are also implanted on the Domaine, favoring pollination. This organic agriculture guarantees a complete harmony between the needs of the vine and the ecosystem.

Our commitment

Organic farming in conversion

In the heart of a rare botanical flora and a protected fauna, the Domain is located in a valley naturally preserving the vineyard and providing an important natural ventilation. The singular terroir of the Domaine du Vallon des Glauges, which we wanted to keep intact, has a pluriculture that is conducive to the production of wines and olive oils of character. The recent installation of beehives also allows us to produce a local honey of great quality near the Domaine.

Surrounded by a mineral nature, associated with the Mediterranean climate, the vineyard located on the ancient bed of the Durance, benefits from an exceptional terroir. The Domaine is partly located on very rocky slopes close to the Tour des Opies, the highest point of the Alpilles, which offer very aromatic berries while preserving an important minerality allowing a beautiful length of the wines.

BREEDING & VINIFICATION

A mastered art

Respect for tradition, a sense of aesthetic and technical innovation, the Domaine du Vallon des Glauges has been able to modernize by renewing its cellar and its winery, in order to use more efficient vinification methods.

A meticulous selection of the berries, a gravity reception, a harmonious use of concrete, wood and stainless steel, a perfect control of the volumes in a constant concern of parcel selection, a precise control of the temperatures during the pre-fermentation and fermentation phases, or the ageing on the lees of fermentation, are some of the innovations which were set up in the cellars.

This optimization of the methods of elaboration accompanies and reveals in the most faithful way the expression of the grape varieties and the singular soil of the Domaine du Vallon des Glauges.

In order to produce wines with varied aromatic qualities, careful work on the identification of plots and grape varieties has been undertaken for over ten years.
