The press talks about our white wine Le Piton 2023 The white wine Le Piton 2023 from our estate in Sancerre had the honor of appearing among the favorites of the wine and lifestyle magazine, Bacchus: "Nestled on the slopes of the Loire Valley, the Sancerre appellation - one of the most renowned in France - owes its prestige to its Sauvignon blanc, at once lively, taut and remarkably precise. On this unique terroir, combining flint, caillottes and Kimmeridgian marl, the soil expresses itself as much as the vines. It is in this setting that Domaine du Piton rigorously and discreetly cultivates a know-how that brings Sauvignon Blanc to its purest expression, as evidenced by this cuvée "Le Piton". On the nose, the wine unfurls aromas of lime zest and white grapefruit flesh, followed in successive waves by a sharp, almost iodized minerality. One senses sun-warmed stone and flint. The palate is sharp and clean. The acidity is controlled and the freshness lively. But beneath this tension lies an unexpected roundness: stone fruit, a touch of juicy pear, and a few floral notes. Just the right amount of relief to captivate, without ever tiring. Decant for 20 minutes and serve at 12°C. It's perfect with crottin de Chavignol (goat's cheese), pan-fried langoustines, turkey escalope with curry, or oysters with lime."
