During the month of March, our teams have been busy with the maintenance of the vineyard. After finishing the basic pruning, we stirred up the soil between the rows of vines to aerate the soil, promote soil life and allow water to penetrate better.
We also planted a rose bush at the beginning of each row of vines for a very special reason. These rosebushes will help the winegrowers to detect naturally the contaminations of certain diseases of the vine. The sooner these diseases are detected, the sooner we can act to preserve our vines!
It is the beginning of April, and the first buds are starting to develop. We are fast approaching the foliage season.
